Tree surgery is our preferred choice rather than felling where possible or practical. We can carry out full inspections and give you reports on the necessary work required. Tree renovation and repair is a specialist job and we risk assess all our work first. We check for evidence of nesting birds and bats and advise accordingly. Often our work can include the removal of rubbing or branches that over shadow property. These branches could cause damage to property, people or other good branches. They may even be fouling telephone or other cable services.
What does tree surgery involve?
Tree surgeons are sometimes called Arborists or tree climbers. We carry out maintenance, planting and care of all types of trees and hedges. We offer pruning, cutting of branches to remove decay and general diagnosis of problems and many other aspects of tree surgery. Pruning or removal of branches is done in a sympathetic way to promote the strength and integrity of the tree. We carry out crown reductions and thinning. (We generally discourage ‘pollarding’ or ‘topping’ and ‘lopping’ as this practice can harm the tree and promotes weak re-growth). Deadwood removal in areas of high risk or in vulnerable areas is completed to a high standard. If we work on trees and have removed branches or hedging, we will reshape of needed to promote a pleasing and aesthetically looking shape.
Eco-friendly tree surgery always
We actively practice methods of habitat enhancement and continually look to recycle by-products of our work. Working closely with ecologists to minimise our impact on the environment and the species it supports.
Other tree surgery work
The work we have listed so far is just some of what we do. We also work with stump grinding, aerial bat inspections (with licensed bat ecologist) and many other services associated with trees and hedges
